Three Simultaneous Typhoons

Three separate typhoons have at present taken form in the waters off the coast of Japan.  While two of the three will not likely affect travel to and from Zamami Village, the third typhoon, Lionrock, will likely head toward Okinawa.

Lionrock is currently forecast to take the following route toward Okinawa.

Typhoons can substantially affect travel to and from Zamami Village.  Typhoons bring with them strong winds.  Strong winds cause high waves.  When waves are too high, the ferries to and from Zamami Village are cancelled.  When the ferries seem like they might stop running, many visitors and villagers reserve ferry tickets to return to Okinawa Island.  The result is that the ferries may become booked full even before they have stopped running.  One might not be able to return to the main Okinawa Island at the time they want.
