Last week, record lows were seen across Japan, including Okinawa. The unusual weather was the result of the strongest cold front seen in decades. Even Zamami reached mid-day temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius (50 degrees Fahrenheit). Sleet was recorded to have fallen for a few minutes in Ginowan City on the main island.
But you would never believe that seeing the weather we’ve had for the last few days. Albeit a little warmer than average at this time of the year, temperatures have settled around 25 degrees Celsius (low 70s Fahrenheit) here in Zamami. When the sun peeks through the partly cloudy skies, it feels like the perfect weather often seen in April and October.
Right now’s the ideal time to get your fill of vitamin D and whale watching here in subtropical Zamami.
