Last Baseball Night

For all you fans of both baseball and Zamami out there, tonight is your last chance to catch the action.  This evening marks the final two games of Zamami’s abbreviated November baseball season.

Like the previous nighters, this evening will feature two games: Nakamura Construction vs. Bakara (Baccarat?) and the Geruma Pirates vs. the Aka Island Youth Group.  The second game of the evening starting around 20:00 should prove to be a lively battle between Zamami’s two southernmost populated islands, Aka and Geruma.  Tonight will also feature a closing ceremony following the completion of the Aka-Geruma game.

Stop by the baseball field this evening for your fix of outer-island village grassroots Japanese baseball.  It’s always a good time.

Outer-island village grassroots Japanese baseball--always a good time.

Outer-island village grassroots Japanese baseball–always a good time.  Foul balls over the wall to the left are at the mercy of the ocean.  I’ll take the sound of waves lapping against the shore while watching baseball any day.
